The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) and the Association of Mutual Insurers and the Insurance Cooperatives in Europe (AMICE) are delighted to open the registration process for their one-day international conference focusing on global and regional regulatory trends, challenges and opportunities.
The keynote opening address will be given by the Deputy Governor of the French Central Bank, Denis Beau, and the programme includes many regional and international opinion leaders. ICMIF and AMICE are able to offer this opportunity free of charge for members thanks to the generous support from our host organisation, Covéa.
Conference location on 4 December
Espace Diderot, 19 rue de Londres,
Please note that delegates are required to make their own hotel reservation.
Following a welcome from the CEO of hosting insurance group Covéa, Thierry Derez, the programme will be structured around four sessions:
From US to Asia, via Latin America and Europe: is a global model the best solution? Is there a global playing field in sight?
Following an introductory film with ICMIF/AMICE members’ views, a panel composed of representatives of the European Parliament and the IAIS, and insurers from North America, France and Mexico will discuss international regulation.
The strengths and shortcomings of Solvency II in Europe
An expert view on the prudential system now in place in Europe will be followed by a panel discussion with speakers from EIOPA, the Dutch insurance supervisor, a consumer organisation and insurers.
G20 Insurance Forum
For the first time ever, the G20 meeting in Argentina in September included an Insurance Forum. This session will provide direct feedback from the event.
International challenges and opportunities
From climate change to cyber risk, including long-term care, should new emerging risks be treated equally on a global scale?
The final session will include an overview of emerging risks and a discussion between experts from the Netherlands, Bermuda, Italy and Panama.
Places are limited, we advise you to register now to secure your free place.
