Last week ICMIF launched the first of its new Leaders Forums; the launch took place via an interactive live Webinar. View at www.icmif.org/webinars
The newly created ICMIF Communications Leaders Forum (CLF) includes representatives from more than 40 member organisations from 19 countries. The webinar took place on Thursday 24 January with two sessions of the webinar held that day to enable members of the forum around the world to log in to whichever timing of the two events suited them better. One was held in the morning and one in the afternoon (GMT) to enable participation by as many members of the forum as possible to learn about the context and methodology behind ICMIF’s new Global Reputation Tracker Project.
Both live sessions were hosted by Shaun Tarbuck, with presentations from ICMIF Senior Vice President, Communications, Liz Green and the Reputation Consultancy’s Partner, Rachel Griffiths.
CLF members from Latin America, USA, Singapore, South Africa, Canada and New Zealand logged in to the live events; whereas many others opted to download the event later at their own convenience. The bespoke webinar platform was developed by ICMIF’s own in-house Technology Team and it allowed participants to join in the discussion and also to raise questions during the event.
The Global Reputation Tracker Project represents an investment of USD 150,000 from ICMIF’s capital reserves and was approved by the ICMIF Board in September 2012. It aims to measure the global reputation of the insurance sector using a retrospective digital search over a 12 month period.
The CLF will be looking at the results during the coming months to understand what mutual, cooperative and fraternal members can learn in terms of best practice from the wider insurance sector. Initially it will report its findings and recommendations to the ICMIF Executive Team.
The next CLF webinar is scheduled for Thursday 14 February and will be run at 10.00 and again at 15.00 (GMT) to enable full global participation. If you would like your organisation to participate please contact email@example.com
