New Zealand-based ICMIF member MAS (Medical Assurance Society) and the New Zealand Marketing Association have announced a new partnership to support New Zealand marketers and the marketing profession.

The agreement sees MAS become a Principal Business Partner with the Marketing Association to support marketers and the marketing profession with a range of financial products, services and importantly, value add benefits.

MAS General Manager Marketing Mike Davy said “We’re excited to be entering a partnership with an Association that takes such a holistic approach to supporting their members throughout their professional careers and beyond. Marketers are a talented group of professionals that deserve to know their assets, future income and retirement savings are looked after by a company that actually cares.”

As a mutual that was started by doctors in 1921, MAS is an NZ-owned business that has provided insurance, and more recently KiwiSaver, to the professional community for nearly 100 years. “MAS has won the Consumer People’s Choice insurer award for three years running, which reflects their high service ethos and commitment to doing the best they can for New Zealand professionals,” says Mitchell.

“Because MAS is a mutual for New Zealand professionals, we value strong relationships with industry bodies and associations that will deliver value to all our members. That’s why we’re really looking forward to working closely with the Marketing Association to protect what matters to marketing professionals and their families,” Mitchell concluded.

Tony Mitchell, Chief Executive of the Marketing Association said: “With a mutual focus on the health and wellbeing of marketers as professionals, we’ve developed a partnership that provides additional membership benefits for our 8,000 members to protect their health & wellbeing as well as their financial future. MA members will now have access to resources, articles and events focused on health & wellbeing, including important aspects such as mental health, stress, and work/life balance.”

For member-only strategic content on the cooperative/mutual insurance sector, ICMIF members have exclusive access to a range of online resources through the ICMIF Knowledge Hub.
