At the recent 2014 Which? Awards in London UK ICMIF member NFU Mutual picked up the award for Best Insurance Provider. This follows the organization’s success last year when it was named the Which? Best Financial Services Provider.
NFU Mutual has won a lot of recognition over the years, but for Steve Bower, Customer Services Director, there’s something that really stands out about a Which? win. He says, “they’re completely independent and unlike many industry awards, a company cannot nominate itself. The shortlist is chosen by experts based on research, testing, Best Buys and feedback from Which? members and the general public. For me, it means so much to be recognised by an organization such as Which? as they, like us, are all about what’s best for consumers. And we beat off some pretty stiff competition today with household names such as John Lewis, LV= and Nationwide also making this year’s shortlist”.
Steve goes on to say “On a personal note, I could not be more proud of our fantastic staff for the role they played in us winning this award. Which? singled out our customer service – in particular, our claims handling and local, personal service – as factors that set us (NFU Mutual) apart from the competition”.
Lindsay Sinclair, Chief Executive, and Steve attended the award ceremony with colleagues Becky Reading and John Duffy from NFU Mutual’s Bristol office. They and their team showed strong demonstration of dedication to their members than when they were hit so hard by the terrible flooding on the Somerset Levels earlier this year. And it wasn’t just Somerset. Staff and agents in areas across the country affected by the terrible weather showed the same commitment – extending opening hours and working tirelessly to support flood victims when they needed it most.
