The latest version of the ICMIF Members Key Statistics 2011: Premium Growth report analyses in detail the financial data about member companies at a global and regional level between 2007 and 2011. The report highlights how the premium income of ICMIF members increased by 8.4% in 2011 compared with the previous year, as members have collectively increased their premium income market share from 4.8% in 2007 to 5.6% in 2011. A similar growth was experienced in life and non-life premiums of member companies, with a market share in 2011 of 4.98% (2007: 3.87%) and 6.37% (2007: 6.07%) respectively.
This report makes encouraging reading for the mutual and cooperative insurance sector, as included in the report are tables showing at a glance the progress which the cooperative and mutual insurance sector is delivering and subsidiary charts include those showing growth figures since 2007.
The largest and fastest-growing ICMIF members in 2011 are shown in premium tables, split between developed and developing nations, and for the life, non-life, health sectors and in Takaful business, with 93 different members from 38 countries cited.
