An overview of the Resilience and Sustainability Forum

Each session of the Forum will focus on knowledge sharing and peer discussion, helping to strengthen an open and trusted network of sustainability leaders. Each meeting will feature up to three short updates from participating organisations. These updates will highlight their main sustainability priorities for 2026 and beyond, including examples of initiatives or projects that demonstrate how their strategy is being implemented in practice.

Speakers will also reflect on the key sustainability challenges they anticipate and the lessons they have learned so far on their sustainability journey. Finally, each update will invite peer input by sharing specific questions, themes or issues where the organisation would welcome insights and advice from fellow Forum participants, encouraging discussion and the co-creation of new ideas and solutions.

Sessions typically run for 1.5 hours and are scheduled from 2:00pm to 3:30 pm (UK time) via Microsoft Teams.

“Three years ago, we collectively looked to see how we could grow our knowledge on ESG and sustainability. Being a mutual, we were already purpose-driven, but ICMIF showed us how we could move forward with an emphasis on ESG and sustainability. As an insurer with only 90 staff, we don't have a dedicated individual with sustainability experience, so joining ICMIF’s sustainability networks and working groups were invaluable. Through our company-wide involvement and enthusiasm, we have made great progress in a very short period of time. We have been able to contribute to the creation of a benchmark to quantify and measure sustainability, and from there, now have the ability to continue to grow initiatives and become even more aware of sustainability within every aspect of our company”
Monica Niles, HR Director, Mutual Fire Insurance (Canada)

“The presentations, experiences and knowledge sharing at the ICMIF Sustainability Forum were inspirational with practicable examples. Discussions during the breakout sessions were also very useful as we heard some innovative initiatives and approaches which were led by employees without an insurance background. It was reassuring to learn from others on how they dealt with or are dealing with similar issues as we are facing in our sustainability journey”.
Kritika Kashyap, VP Economist, and Arina Tek, SVP Market Research & Insurance Analyst, Peak Re (Hong Kong)
