An overview of the Virtual Roundtables on business transformation

As part of its virtual member services offering, ICMIF regularly hosts virtual roundtable discussions for CEO/C-Suite and strategic leaders at member companies.

These sessions provide a unique opportunity for leaders from like-minded organisations from across ICMIF's global network to share experiences, challenges, learnings, and insights in a trusted and non-competitive* environment.

NEW FOR 2026: this topic on business transformation looks at practical approaches of mutual/cooperative insurers to IT modernisation, digital transformation and implementing new technological capabilities (such as AI, cloud and big data).

Some of the themes that will be discussed during these roundtables include:

  • Major transformations underway and the key successes or challenges encountered.
  • Progress toward implementation and modernisation of core insurance platforms (for policy administration, billing, claims, etc.).
  • Approaches to managing legacy systems while leveraging data, cloud, automation, and cybersecurity to support growth strategies.
  • Use of AI and digital innovations to enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and deliver impactful use cases.
  • Prioritising other organisational capabilities needed to enable successful transformation and long-term value.

Sessions typically run for two hours and are scheduled from 2.00pm to 4.00pm (UK time) via Microsoft Teams.

We hope to host a number of these roundtables, so that the number of member companies involved in each roundtable will be limited to ensure maximum value for each participant and diversity in each discussion. For this reason, a maximum of two participants from each member company will be able to join each of the various discussions.

More details on the topic and structure of the discussions of these virtual roundtables will be shared with those who have registered.

Who should attend

This series is aimed at leaders across the technology and IT (Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers), data and digital (Chief Data Officers), transformation, and innovation functions, but are also open to any CEO or senior executives with responsibility for transformation outcomes from ICMIF member organisations.
