The ICMIF Biennial Conference is a unique event for the cooperative and mutual insurance sector and in 2011 attendance saw upwards of 250 delegates.

We are proud to announce that for the first time in our history, our next Biennial Conference will take place in Africa. The event, kindly hosted by our member company PPS, will be held in the Westin Hotel Cape Town on November 6-8, 2013. Our theme for this conference will be “leadership of the mutual and cooperative movement” and further details on our agenda, speakers and social programme will be available soon.

This conference is unique in that it will be preceded by the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) General Assembly on November 4-5, 2013 at the same venue. This creates an opportunity for ICMIF Conference delegates to meet with other cooperative leaders from a variety of industries and discuss strategic issues facing the wider global movement.

While our social programme will include opportunities to bring together delegates from ICA and ICMIF, we encourage our members to attend both events to maximise their networking and business opportunities; fulfilling the sixth cooperative principle: “co-operation among co-operatives”.
