EY to host webinar on the key trends shaping insurers’ strategic agendas

5 March 2025

A person with a backpack stands on a rocky mountain peak, looking out over layers of distant hills and valleys at sunrise or sunset, with warm golden light illuminating the scene.

Following the recent publication of its 2025 Global Insurance Outlook, ICMIF Supporting Member EY will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday 12 March (3.00pm to 4.00pm GMT/UK time) to discuss the key findings of the report and the key trends shaping insurers’ strategic agendas. ICMIF members are welcome to register and attend this insightful webinar.

The 2025 Global Insurance Outlook found that despite many challenges, global insurers delivered strong performance recently and were poised for steady gains in both mature and emerging economies. Findings also showed rising demand for core protections and value-add services, plus new possibilities in risk assessment and pricing, are cause for optimism about the future. Lastly, the report indicated that directing today’s innovation investments toward protection gaps would position insurers for market leadership in the near future.

The webinar will focus on the industry trends affecting markets around the world and the opportunities for insurance leaders to drive growth.

Topics will include:

  • Navigating a volatile and complex market landscape
  • Pursuing multiple paths to growth
  • Retooling with richer data, modernised technology and refreshed talent

Panellists:

  • Isabelle Santenac, EY Global Insurance Leader
  • Marty Klein, Chief Finance Officer, Athene
  • Ole Ohlmeyer, Global Head of Customer & Distribution Management & Alternative Risk Transfer, Swiss Re
  • Gregory Daco, EY-Parthenon Chief Economist, Strategy and Transactions, Ernst & Young LLP
