Marco Capital
Marco Capital provides bespoke legacy P&C solutions through reinsurance and M&A transactions, helping insurers, reinsurers, and corporate owners of captives release capital, simplify balance sheets, and achieve regulatory and operational efficiency.
As a highly professional and experienced legacy consolidator, with a focus on financial strength and execution certainty, Marco Capital operates across the UK, EU, Lloyd’s, and international markets.
The Group includes:
- Marco Re – “A-“ AM Best; “A3” Moody’s rated reinsurer based in Guernsey.
- Marco Insurance PCC – regulated platform providing solutions for EU clients.
- British Reserve Insurance Company – carrier supporting UK run-off and restructuring solutions.
- Syndicate 1254 – Marco’s RITC and legacy solutions platform for Lloyd’s syndicates.
Marco’s senior team of professionals have gained experience as key members of management teams of live re/insurers and legacy businesses and have together completed over 40 run-off transactions with aggregate value in excess of USD 5bn – mostly as buyers of reserves and entities, but also as sellers.
They have gained approval from numerous Regulators – including PRA/FCA, Lloyd’s, MFSA, BaFin, GFSC – for multiple transactions.

PoloWorks
PoloWorks is the insurance services arm of the Marco Capital Group. It supports Lloyd’s syndicates, insurers, MGAs and brokers with a full range of operational services across the insurance value chain.
PoloWorks partners with some of the world’s largest insurers to help solve complex operational challenges. Client relationships, in some cases, date back 25 years.
Services include:
- Underwriting Support: data capture, risk coding, and policy administration for open-market, delegated, and binder business.
- Delegated Authority Management: oversight, bordereaux management, and regulatory reporting.
- Claims Management: end-to-end handling, from first notification to settlement.
- Client Finance: technical accounting, premium processing, and cash allocation.
- Reinsurance Asset Management: collection, recovery, and reporting for proportional and non-proportional treaties.
PoloWorks also includes Polo Managing Agency (PMA), a leading Lloyd’s turnkey managing agent. PMA enables new entrants to establish and operate syndicates at Lloyd’s, providing governance, infrastructure, and operational expertise.
Alongside PMA sits Polo Insurance Managers (PIM), a specialist insurance management company based in Guernsey. PIM supports the formation and management of captive and cell structures, including protected cell companies and reinsurance vehicles. Its expertise helps corporate clients, MGAs, and insurers establish efficient, well-governed structures that meet both strategic and regulatory needs.
