Upcoming: 9 June 15:00-16:00 BST
Life insurers across the ICMIF membership are navigating an increasingly complex, yet diverse reinsurance landscape. Pressures on capital and liquidity, evolving product specifications, and changing reinsurer appetites, are all key themes that mean the structuring and management of reinsurance programmes has never been more important.
Guy Carpenter will share insights into these key themes, currently shaping the life (re)insurance market. Drawing on recent experience, the presentation will explore issues such as access to capacity, counterparty diversification, and the practical complexities of running and executing reinsurance placements.
The session will also highlight how life insurers are using reinsurance to face up to challenges in areas such as adverse mortality, mass lapse risk, and new business financing, with examples to illustrate different approaches taken across the market.
The session will be discussion-led, providing an opportunity for members to share their own experiences, compare approaches, and explore how reinsurance can support their strategic objectives in a changing environment.
Speaker:
- Darko Popovic, Head of UK&I Life Reinsurance, Guy Carpenter
