Danish ICMIF member LB Forsikring is once again recognising the loyalty of its members while also being recognised for it. Earlier in November, the company announced that it will pay out DKK 135 million in loyalty discounts to eligible members in December. Shortly after, LB Forsikring was named the winner of Denmark’s prestigious Loyalty Award for the 14th consecutive year, underlining the strength of its member-focused model.

DKK 135 million returned to members

From 19 November, LB Forsikring began sending daily emails to members to inform them of their upcoming loyalty discount, which will be paid on 10 December. Members who have held home contents insurance with the company for at least three consecutive years are eligible, with the amount determined by their seniority, product mix and the year’s rates. A minimum of DKK 75 will be paid to each qualifying member.

CEO Jan Kamp Justesen emphasised that returning value to members is core to LB Forsikring’s member-owned identity saying: “It is in our DNA as a member-owned company that we want to create value for our members and both recognise and reward their loyalty whenever possible.” Despite market-wide increases in claims and claims expenses, the company’s underlying strength made it possible once again to distribute loyalty discounts this year.

The board evaluates annually whether a payout is possible, based on insurance operations, investment returns, the competitive situation and the company’s equity.

LB Forsikring wins the 2025 Loyalty Award

In addition to rewarding its members directly, LB Forsikring has also been recognised externally for the loyalty it inspires within Denmark. The company has won the 2025 Loyalty Award, presented by Loyalty Group, for the 14th year in a row, achieving the highest loyalty score in the Danish insurance market.

“With a score of 82 in the loyalty index and 11 points above average, we maintain a strong position in the market,” said Jan Kamp Justesen. “We are extremely happy to once again win the award for member loyalty. Loyalty does not come by itself, especially in a challenging environment marked by inflation, climate impacts and global uncertainty.”

The result, based on responses from 4,475 Danes evaluating insurers on service, quality and willingness to recommend, highlights the continued relevance of LB Forsikring’s member-owned business model.

“We see this recognition as proof that our strong member focus makes a real difference,” Justesen added. “We will continue our work to earn the trust our members place in us.”
