Canadian ICMIF member Red River Mutual has announced more winners of its community sponsorship programme, Spruce Up Your Story, designed to save and protect beloved spaces at the heart of the communities it serves — spaces that encourage togetherness, sustainability, volunteerism, and that have a connection with its broker partners and community members.

From over 240 submissions, it has chosen 10 winning spaces in communities across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. As part of the community campaign, Red River Mutual will fund up to CAD 25,000 in cash for select, well-loved community spaces, with CAD 150,000 in total to award.

Over the past two years, Red River Mutual has committed over CAD 300,000 to improve well-worn and well-loved spaces so they can continue to serve their communities for years to come.

“The stories in our communities are the ones that motivate great work within our walls. Our Spruce Up Your Story initiative is our effort to strengthen our connection to the communities we serve. We want you to know that we protect and care about you – that we’re like a neighbour looking out for you.” says Brian Esau, President and CEO, Red River Mutual.
