Towards a better future by addressing social challenges

In the fourth AOA webinar in this series on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), three cooperative/mutual insurers share initiatives for improving people’s lives – with a primary target of women’s lives – by creating sustainable and healthy communities: focusing on Goal 1 (No poverty), Goal 3 (Good health and well-being), Goal 4 (Quality education), Goal 5 (Gender equality) and Goal 11 (Sustainable cities and communities).

The webinar features case studies of mutual aid for life-planning activities and community support in Japan; microinsurance solutions to help poor urban communities in the Philippines; and initiatives for poverty obviation and women’s economic empowerment in the informal economy in India.
