Asia Affinity and Box4Kids - March 2024

ICMIF member Asia Affinity (Hong Kong) was recently invited to participate in an event organised by Box4Kids at the Singapore Airshow on 24 and 25 February 2024. The event, organised by the Barrie Wells Trust, aims to create a safe and relaxing environment for children facing serious and often terminal health challenges, providing them with a VIP experience during the event.

Over 60 children and their families from local hospitals enjoyed the Airshow’s public display whilst being treated like VIPs in corporate chalets. The chalets were donated by Embraer and Honeywell to the Barrie Wells Trust’s Box4Kids initiative, and generously facilitated by the Airshow’s organiser Experia Events. This is the second time the Box4Kids initiative has attended the Singapore Airshow.

“We are thrilled to be part of such a meaningful initiative that brings joy and unforgettable moments to children and their families who deserve it the most,” said Asia Affinity Chairman & CEO Graham Clark (seen in the middle of image). “We are delighted to be able to support the Barrie Wells Trust in helping make a positive impact in the communities we operate in, and participating in this event aligns perfectly with our commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility.”

Box4Kids offers much-deserved experiences to children, allowing them to enjoy quality time away from the day-to-day challenges of their illnesses. Events organised by Box4Kids take place in hospitality suites at leading sporting events and venue “Boxes” graciously offered by the donors, presenting an incredible opportunity for corporations to contribute to the cause.

The Box4Kids initiative is the brainchild of Barrie Wells – a serial insurance entrepreneur and philanthropist who initially worked on the idea using his ‘Box’ at Anfield, the home of the Liverpool Football Club in the UK. The scheme has since expanded to include a growing number of Premier League Football Clubs and Jockey Clubs throughout the UK and the O2 Arena. The event in February was the second time that Box4Kids has supported Singapore Aerospace.
