  • Interactive breakout sessions that help you understand your leadership style.
  • How to adopt a values-led, adaptive and ethical leadership approach.
  • Case studies and tangible examples that you will be able to put into practice.
  • Networking dinner with cooperative leaders.

About the Co-operative College

The Co-operative College was established in 1919 by the cooperative movement to provide education to those involved in the movement and/or part of a cooperative. The focus was on learning how to run successful cooperative enterprises and how to behave ethically as a part of a cooperative. The College is proud of its global reputation and is known as a centre of excellence for training, learning, consultancy and research. The College provides high quality education for existing and emerging cooperatives and their teams around the world.

The partnership with CLIMBS

This partnership came about as a result of CLIMBS’ participation in the International Cooperative Assembly in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in November 2017. The CLIMBS Institute was presented as a sustainable and inclusive model in the training and education of cooperative leaders during a session that looked at “Cooperatives and the Future of Work”.  In one of the workshop sessions on cooperative education, a global learning was discussed briefly that led to meaningful talks between the two organisations on this collaboration.

CLIMBS is dedicated to values of cooperation and continuous learning through its education and training arm, the CIFL which continues to connect and equip local leaders to a global network.

The partnership also coincides with the centennial celebration of the Co-operative College in United Kingdom and the Philippines’ cooperative movement enters into a new era beyond its first 100 years (the Philippines centenary of the country’s first cooperative legislation was celebrated in 2015).

This will be the first event of its kind to be held in Asia and the two organisations look forward to welcoming both local and international participants. ICMIF members are warmly invited to register and attend the event.
