ICMIF welcomes Berkley Re as a Supporting Member

ICMIF, the Federation representing the global mutual and cooperative insurance industry today announced the addition of a new Supporting Member, Berkley Re, which specialises in providing international property and casualty reinsurance worldwide.

The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) represents 197 member organisations in 66 countries which collectively wrote USD 232 billion in premiums in 2017 (based on the figures from the latest ICMIF ICMIF Members: Key Statistics research).

Commenting on Berkley Re joining the Federation, ICMIF Chief Executive, Shaun Tarbuck said: “We warmly welcome Berkley Re to ICMIF in a bid to provide our members with innovative, mutually beneficial reinsurance arrangements across a range of property and casualty classes. On behalf of our Board, I am delighted to welcome Berkley Re to ICMIF. Our Supporting Members are valued contributors to the Federation, supplying advice and expertise with a specific mutual or cooperative focus.”

ICMIF’s Supporting Member category of membership is open to suppliers to the insurance sector who acknowledge the unique nature of ICMIF member organisations and who wish to work in partnership with the Federation and its members to help grow and advance the mutual and cooperative insurance sector.
