New ICMIF Brand and Marketing Forum launches with topic of marketing mutuality as the focus of the first session

19 February 2024

Diverse People Working and Marketing Concept

ICMIF has launched a new initiative to allow its members to discuss and share practical examples of successful marketing and brand strategy best-practice.

The new ICMIF Brand and Marketing Forum will include presentations of leading case study examples from ICMIF’s global network of mutual and cooperative insurers. These case studies will look at how member companies articulate and communicate their unique “mutual” difference through marketing campaigns and brand experience. The Forum will also provide a platform for brand and marketing experts to discuss emerging trends, exchange experiences to overcome common challenges, and explores areas that members can collaborate to strengthen the voice of our sector.

The first session in this new series will take place on Tuesday 5 March 2024 (2pm-4pm GMT / UK time).

This topic for this session will focus on Marketing mutuality. The format will consist of a case study presented by Benenden Health (UK) who will share their journey from a small brand to securing multimillion-pound investments, outlining the strategies for gaining buy-in to big budgets. They will also reveal how they leverage their unique purpose, emphasising mutuality in marketing, with a practical campaign example.

The second half of the session will offer the opportunity for members to discuss insights in small groups on leveraging their distinct purpose and values and how they promote mutuality within the market.

The Brand and Marketing Forum is open to all brand, marketing, communications, mutuality and strategy professionals within the ICMIF network who are looking to be inspired, share and broaden their own knowledge, while establishing a global peer network to learn and collaborate with.

Dates for the sessions in 2024 are as follows:

  • 5 March
  • 7 May
