The registration fees for conference participants are as follows:

Early bird rate USD 990 per person
Non-member rate USD 1350 per person
Microinsurer member rate* USD 650 per person
Young Leader rate USD 550 per person

The microinsurer rate is a subsidised rate for small member companies with less than USD 20 million in net written premium income per year (for a maximum of two participants per company)

To register for the event, please complete the online registration form.

The following events and meals are included in the ICMIF Americas Conference registration fee:

  • Full participation and materials for all conference sessions with simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish
  • Two lunches and four coffee breaks
  • A Welcome Reception on Wednesday, August 27, 2025
  • The Farewell Dinner, offered by our host Sociedad de Seguros de Vida del Magisterio Nacional, will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025

There will be an all-day social tour on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Further details on the tour will be shared very soon (please note that the cost of the excursion is not included in the registration fee).

Cancellation policy

For cancellations received 30 days or more prior to the event, a 90% refund will be given. For cancellations received within 30 days of the event, no refund will be given.

Visas and entry requirement in Costa Rica

We recommend that you check whether you need a visa to travel to Costa Rica with your local embassy.
Visa exemption: citizens of many countries, including the European Union, the United States, Canada and several Latin American countries, can enter without a visa for a tourist stay of up to 90 days.

Visa required: citizens of certain countries (eg Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Iran) must obtain a visa before travelling.

Exit ticket: travellers will have to present a return or onward ticket (by plane, boat or bus) when entering Costa Rica.
Vaccinations: Yellow fever: travellers from countries where yellow fever is endemic must present a certificate of vaccination against this disease.

Other recommended vaccines: hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and update of current vaccines.

Dress code

During the Conference, the dress code is generally "business casual" although there will be some formal occasions when special guests are present. We suggest you bring both business casual and formal clothing. In addition, we would recommend comfortable clothing if you are planning to participate in the tour on Saturday.
