Building community resilience through mutual microinsurance: the journey of the DHAN Foundation, India

This virtual session reflects on the impact of DHAN’s work in scaling mutual microinsurance in India supported by ICMIF members under the ICMIF Foundation’s 5-5-5 Mutual Microinsurance Strategy.

Attendees gained insights into how learnings from the first phase of the collaboration – which concluded in March 2022 – are now being applied to enhance product design, strengthen risk mitigation and digitalise key elements of service delivery. The session will also share information on the current scaling up project supported by the ICMIF Foundation as well as other activities that are improving the resilience of vulnerable communities against life, health and climate risks.

This session is part of The ICMIF Foundation’s ongoing series of virtual sessions showcasing how ICMIF’s members in emerging markets are having a meaningful and measurable impact on underserved communities.
