Economics of Mutuality – Capturing holistic performance

In 2025 and beyond, how can businesses truly understand the value they create? As the expectations of business evolve, organisations are moving beyond financial metrics to measure performance and inform business strategy.  This session will explore how the Economics of Mutuality principles guide organisations in managing performance across multiple forms of capital – financial, social, human, and natural – to drive long-term, mutual value creation.  Alastair Colin-Jones, Executive Director at Mutual Value Labs, will explore why now is the time to redefine how we measure success, amid rising stakeholder expectations and the growing need for transparency, trust, sustainability, and resilience. The session will also examine the business case for holistic measurement, showing how it can transform decision-making, build stronger stakeholder relationships, and align purpose with performance in a sustainable way. Participants will have the opportunity to share insights from their own organisations in breakout room discussions.
