ICMIF member Capricorn Mutual, the protection arm of one of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest member-owned organisations, Capricorn, has selected Duck Creek Technologies as its new core insurance delivery technology partner as part of its strategy to enhance services and experiences for members.
The new cloud-based platform will replace Capricorn Mutual’s legacy core insurance systems, providing integrated policy, rating, billing, claims and data capabilities. The investment is expected to strengthen the organisation’s ability to deliver enhanced commercial and domestic insurance products and services to its 30,000 small and medium-sized automotive business members.
Rod Scanlon, Chief Executive Officer of Risk Services at Capricorn Mutual, said the technology investment reflects the mutual’s commitment to delivering long-term value for its members: “As a member-based organisation, strengthening our members’ businesses by delivering high-quality service and value is our priority. We believe that Duck Creek provides the technology platform we need to deliver on this commitment, now and into the future.”
Capricorn Mutual said its members operate in a dynamic and high-risk environment, making technology an important enabler of its strategy to deepen member relationships, improve operational processes and continue enhancing its products, services and risk management capabilities.
Scanlon added: “We identified that technology should be a key enabler of our business strategy and objectives. Duck Creek enables us to enhance our automation capabilities, improve workflows and integrate our insurance system with our other member benefits solutions.”
He continued: “Duck Creek’s evergreen and modular SaaS solutions provide a clean and intuitive team and member experience and a powerful rating engine. The Duck Creek platform offered us all the functionality and capabilities we could need to achieve these strategies.”
Highlighting the operational benefits of the new platform, Scanlon also said: “The ease of implementation and extremely natural and intelligent user interface, decreases our teams training time on the system, which allow us to deliver more value to members sooner, with lower associated delivery costs.”
The technology transformation is expected to support Capricorn Mutual’s ongoing focus on delivering efficient, high-quality services while continuing to meet the evolving needs of its member businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
