ICMIF member Länsförsäkringar AB is initiating partnerships with organisations in Sweden with the aim of strengthening crime prevention work and increase security for children and young people at risk. The partner organisations are Mentor Sweden, Stockholm City Mission (Stockholms Stadsmission) and Rätt Kurva.

“We believe in working together with organisations that share our values and our commitment to a safer and more sustainable society and that create long-term change where it is needed most. Together, we can open new doors into society and strengthen the self-esteem and faith in the future of children and young people who are at risk of exclusion,” says Cecilia Eriksson, Head of People & Culture at Länsförsäkringar AB.

“The partnership with Mentor Sweden, Rätt Kurva and Stockholms Stadsmission means that we can contribute to concrete and measurable efforts that prevent exclusion and crime among young people. When more children receive support and faith in the future, we contribute to future-proofing society. For us, it is important to be part of the solution,” says Kristofer Dreiman (pictured), Head of Sustainability at Länsförsäkringar AB.

Länsförsäkringar Stockholm is already a major partner of Stockholms Stadsmission. Länsförsäkringar AB is now also starting a partnership.

More information about the organisations:

Mentor Sweden
Mentor Sweden was founded by Queen Silvia and has existed since 1996. They believe in the power of adult role models and work with mentoring for those young people who lack or lack support from home. For these young people, their challenges and the need for support from the adult world are great. Mentor Sweden has offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg as well as local collaborations in Sweden with municipalities and companies.

Rätt Kurva
Rätt Kurva (The right curve) is a crime prevention programme that started in 2023 with the aim of reducing the recruitment of children between the ages of 8–15 to criminal gangs and to open new doors that lead away from crime. The programme is led by the Swedish Police Authority in collaboration with the Social Services and Beredskapslyftet, a Swedish non-profit organization established to mobilize private sector resources in response to societal crises and urgent challenges and which acts as a link between the business community and civil society.

Stockholm City Mission
The Stockholms Stadsmission (Stockholm City Mission) was founded in 1853 and works to prevent exclusion and promote participation regardless of finances and background. Children often inherit their parents’ poor economic and social conditions and risk becoming trapped in financial vulnerability that can last for generations. The Mission works with the Food Mission, which provides second hand, housing, meeting places and camps for children, among other things.
