Due to increasing incidences of cyberattacks which are affecting Swedish businesses and farms, ICMIF member Länsförsäkringar has announced the launch of a market-leading offering of cyber insurance with new loss prevention services. The offering comes thanks to Länsförsäkringar’s collaboration with the cybersecurity company Safestate. The new services will help identify and fix vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of data breaches.
Marie Öhman, Head of Corporate & Reinsurance Sak at Länsförsäkringar AB said: “Loss prevention services are a crucial part of a modern cyber product. It is no longer enough to simply offer financial compensation after an incident, we want to help our customers avoid damage in the first place. That is why we have chosen to renew and develop our collaboration with Safestate, which is a leader in loss prevention cyber security services.”
Since 2021, Länsförsäkringar has offered loss prevention functions in cyber insurance. It has helped business owners and farmers identify vulnerabilities and reduce the risk of attacks. The renewed collaboration with Safestate now raises the level further and strengthens the protection for the customer.
Three new features that strengthen protection
- Ghost minimises the exposure of personal and business-related information online. By actively hiding information from public websites, customers are protected against ID theft and phishing, among other things. The service continuously monitors and alerts when republishing sensitive information.
- Online backup makes a backup of data that makes it possible to quickly restore information in the event of cyber incidents or system breakdowns.
- E-learning offers short and regular micro-training courses in cybersecurity that are designed to provide customers with practical tips and knowledge on how to protect both critical and personal data.
The new services will be included for both existing and new customers from October 2025.
