Shelter Insurance celebrates dual honours for excellence in customer satisfaction and global recognition

ICMIF member Shelter Insurance (USA) is celebrating a remarkable time of recognition, having received two prestigious honours that highlight its commitment to customer satisfaction and industry excellence. The company has once again ranked #1 in the Central Region in J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Auto Insurance Study and has also earned a spot on the Forbes list of the World’s Best Insurance Companies for the third time.

In the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Auto Insurance Study, Shelter Insurance was named Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Auto Insurers in the Central Region for the eighth time, previously earning the distinction in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The study measures customer satisfaction in several key areas, and Shelter earned top rankings in Trust, Price for Coverage, People, and Product/Coverage Offerings.

“We are thrilled to receive this award again,” said Rockne Corbin, President and CEO of Shelter Insurance and also a member of ICMIF’s Board of Directors. “We are honoured that our customers provided such positive feedback. We are so appreciative of our agents and employees who provided the exceptional service and support that led to this recognition.”

Adding to this accomplishment, Shelter Insurance was also named to the Forbes list of the World’s Best Insurance Companies 2025, an honour developed in collaboration with global data and rankings provider Statista. The ranking is based on an independent survey of more than 45,000 consumers across 15 countries, evaluating insurers in the Homeowners, Auto, and Life categories.

Survey participants across the globe rated insurers based on factors such as trust, terms and conditions, customer service, digital services, and financial advice. Shelter says its inclusion on the list underscores its reputation for reliability, transparency, and outstanding service.
