Sancor Seguros Group recognised for its Sustainability Report

The 7th edition of the Sustainable Leadership Awards organised by the Argentine-British Chamber of Commerce (Cámara de Comercio Argentino – Británica, CCAB) took place on 28 November 2019 at the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (Argentina). Betina Azugna, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the Sancor Seguros Group (one of ICMIF’s members), received the first prize awarded by the Chamber of Commerce for the 2017/2018 Sancor Seguros Sustainability Report, within the category “Innovative Organization”.

The evaluation criteria for the selection of the winning Report were: strategic vision of the highest level; use of globally recognized guidelines; reference to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and description of dialogue processes, among others.

This annual prize invites people, companies, governments, NGOs and institutions in general to present their environmental, social and economic projects, ideas or practices that provide value to communities within the Argentine Republic.

Awards are given to the following classifications: Innovative Organizations (with sub-categories for large companies, SMEs, microenterprises and independent professionals, NGOs, public sector, mixed projects, sustainability reports and integrated reports); Innovative Ideas (for projects not yet materialized) and Excellence in Sustainability (selected from the winners of the previous categories, the best proposal is recognized for its impact, innovation and sustainable leadership).

The criteria for the award are: innovation, replicability, scalability, measurement tools and, this year, the award also looked at whether or not the projects had a focus towards the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
